BIO

SAM REVAZ is a New York City based pianist, composer, arranger, and instructor.

A native of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, Sam began studying classical piano at the age of 6 before realizing his passion for improvising later in high school. He graduated New York University in 2019 with a BM in jazz piano performance, having also studied composition privately with master jazz pianist and orchestrator Alan Broadbent. Prior to the pandemic, Sam worked as an accompanist and MD (musical director) for InsideBroadway, an esteemed theater company based throughout New York City public schools.

With almost a decade’s worth of professional gigging experience between D.C, New York, and Paris, Sam’s musical interests reflect a much broader scope outside of jazz, having also been involved in a number of rock, hip-hop, and R&B projects. Recently, Sam performed alongside rising pop artist Moziah at Austin City Limits in October 2021 and is eager to continue performing wherever possible.
